Why travelers stop here
Yeokjeon Hoegwan is a restaurant that first developed crispy bulgogi in 1962. The name 'crispy bulgogi' comes from the fact that it is quickly grilled over high heat until crispy. Fresh beef, the main ingredient for bulgogi, is delivered every morning from Majang-dong, and it is marinated with the original developed recipe and aged. Then, it is quickly grilled over high heat on a wire grill, the most important cooking tool, to preserve the meat's juices and impart a distinctive smoky flavor. The cooked crispy bulgogi pairs well with perilla leaves, making it even more delicious when wrapped together.
