Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Yeongjong Bridge is a land bridge connecting Yeongjong Island, home to Incheon International Airport, a hub airport in East Asia, with the mainland of Incheon. With a total length of 4.4 km, Yeongjong Bridge consists of an upper level with six round-trip lanes, a lower level with four round-trip lanes, and a double-track railway, forming part of the Incheon International Airport Expressway and the Incheon International Airport Railroad. It is the world's first three-dimensional self-anchored suspension bridge that allows both road and rail traffic to pass simultaneously and accommodates vessels of up to 10,000 tons under the bridge, designed to withstand strong winds and earthquakes. Crossing the bridge offers a panoramic view of the Incheon sea and tidal flats. At the Yeongjong Bridge rest area near the entrance of the bridge, you can see the Fortune Bear, the world's largest iron sculpture registered in the Guinness World Records.
