Why travelers stop here
Yeongheungdo Island is connected to the mainland via Yeongheung Bridge and Seonjae Bridge, attracting a steady stream of tourists and developing remarkably as a major fisheries base. Located 32 km southwest of Incheon, it is the second largest island in Ongjin County after Baengnyeongdo. The island encompasses four inhabited islands, including Yeongheungdo, Seonjaedo, and Cheukdo, as well as 18 uninhabited islands such as Oehangdo, Jungdo, and Jaamdo, spread widely across the coastal waters. The coastal scenery is beautiful, with an old pine forest providing cool shaded areas, and wide sandy beaches that, combined with the sunrise and sunset views, create a stunning landscape.
