Wolmi Cultural Center

Wolmi Cultural Center is an exhibition hall located within Wolmi Park, a cultural space where visitors can explore traditional Korean culture and the history of Wolmi Island through various exhibitions and hands-on experiences. The exhibition hall consists of the Traditional Life Culture Exhibition Hall, the Royal Court Culture Exhibition Hall, and the Special Exhibition Hall. It introduces traditional life culture such as rites of passage (coming-of-age, wedding, funeral, and ancestral rites), village schools (seodang), and Confucian academies (hyanggyo), as well as royal court culture including royal cuisine, court music, and the daily life of the king. Additionally, it operates various experience programs such as trying on hanbok and traditional costume experiences. In the Special Exhibition Hall, visitors can learn about the origin of the name Wolmi Island, historical events such as the Incheon Landing Operation, and the transformation of Wolmi Island into a resting place for citizens today. Nearby attractions include Wolmi Park, Wolmi Observatory, and Wolmi Theme Park, making it a great spot to explore together.
