Why travelers stop here
Ganghwa Nadeulgil is a walking trail that takes a close look at Ganghwa Island, passing by the don-daes (military posts) located every 1.3km along the coast, Ganghwasanseong Fortress, and the tombs of Goryeo kings. It consists of a total of 20 courses, allowing visitors to experience the history, ecology, daily life, and culture of Ganghwa Island while walking slowly along the trail. Gobigogae-gil is a section connecting Ganghwa Bus Terminal to Oepo Passenger Terminal, taking approximately 6 hours and 40 minutes. Course 5, which restores the path used by old people to go to the Ganghwa Market, allows you to enjoy forest bathing while walking along low mountain paths for several hours. This old road connecting the east and west of Ganghwa offers views of the path where woodcutters and merchants from Gocheon-ri carried loads on their backs over Gobigogae to go to the Ganghwa Market, the scenery around two reservoirs, and the simple rural market scenes at Naega Market. The refreshing forest path at Deoksan Forest Bathing Area and the sights at Oepo Fish Market provide the essence of a walking tour.
