Gwangnaru Hangang Park

Located between Gangdong Bridge and Jamsil Railway Bridge, Gwangnaru Hangang Park is a park that best preserves the natural state of the Han River, featuring naturally formed sandbars and large-scale reed colonies created by sediment deposited from the upper Han River. As Seoul's only protected water source area, boating and various water and leisure activities are prohibited, keeping the water clear and clean. The greenery of Achasan Mountain to the north and the 2km-long reed fields along the Han River floodplain harmonize beautifully, offering a stunning landscape. Additionally, Gwangnaru Hangang Park serves as a habitat for migratory birds. Nearby, numerous cultural heritage sites such as the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Settlement are scattered throughout, making it a place where nature and culture blend well.
