Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Walking along the lakeside promenade, you can see clusters of yellow matari in bloom, and the reflections and sunsets are beautiful. A 5-minute drive away, Changni has a prehistoric standing stone (seondol). You can find the standing stone across Changni Stream at the entrance of Gambawigol Valley, opposite Junil Industrial Plant. The standing stone measures 200 cm in length, 70 cm in width, and 30 cm in thickness, and is made of tuff. Its overall shape resembles a long sword placed upside down, so locals also call it 'Sword Rock.' It is presumed that the standing stone was used for rituals praying for abundance.
