Sedimentation Basin

Yongin's Sedimentation Basin is responsible for the water quality purification of the Gyeongan Stream. Using an ecological water purification biotope system, it purifies the polluted Gyeongan Stream to first and second grade water quality. When sewage flows into this area, it settles pollutants, stabilizes water flow, and creates habitats for organisms. It consists of four areas: sedimentation basin, pond, wetland, and settling basin, where you can see floating-leaved plants such as yellow floating heart and water lily. The Sedimentation Basin Ecological Park has become an excellent resting place for visitors after successfully restoring the ecosystem and securing water for recreational use. It features walking trails and bicycle paths, and is a popular spot among citizens for its fame as a place for car picnics.
