Namsan Yejang Park

This park restored the Namsan Yejang area, which was a military training ground during the Joseon Dynasty, and is divided into above-ground and underground sections. Above ground, there is 'Memory 6', which recreates the interrogation room of the Central Intelligence Agency; 'Relic Site', which preserves the site of the Japanese Government-General's official residence; and 'Namsan Story', which introduces the history and culture of Namsan. In addition, a green pine forest, lawns, and walking paths have been created, making it a beloved resting place for citizens. Underground, there are the Yi Hoe-yeong Memorial Hall, an eco-friendly bus transfer center, and a green energy center. The Yi Hoe-yeong Memorial Hall is a space dedicated to the life and achievements of independence activist Yi Hoe-yeong, displaying his personal belongings and records. Namsan Yejang Park is a park where the past and present, history and culture coexist, and it was the site of various historical events from the Joseon Dynasty through the Japanese colonial period to the military dictatorship era. To reflect on this historical significance, various historical relics and facilities were restored during the park's creation. Additionally, the park operates various exhibitions and educational programs to help citizens learn about history and reflect on the values of peace and human rights.
