Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Anseong is the hometown of poet Park Du-jin (pen name Hyesan), a member of the Cheongnok School who left behind over 1,000 poems and 400 prose works. Cheongnoktteul, the Park Du-jin Literature Trail, is located along a walking path overlooking Geumgwang Lake in Anseong. At the entrance of the trail stands a statue of the poet, and along the path, his poems are displayed at intervals. The deck path over the lake gives the feeling of walking on water. As you walk, you may feel as if you have become a poet yourself. Benches are placed throughout for rest, where you can sit and enjoy the poet's works.
