Why travelers stop here
Kkachiul is a rural village nestled in the embrace of Jakdong Mountain and Jihyang Mountain, as if surrounded by a folding screen. It has been called Kkachiul since ancient times because it is a small and beautiful village with an unusually large number of magpies. It is a historic village where the tomb of Princess Gyeongsuk, the fifth daughter of King Seongjong, and the tomb of Princess Hwayu, the tenth princess of King Yeongjo, are located. This area thrives with various menus such as chicken soup, Korean table d'hôte, and cafes, and is especially dominated by health food restaurants using duck. Located in Jakdong, Ojeong-gu, Bucheon-si, this place was designated as a Food Culture Street by Gyeonggi Province in 2011.
