Firefly Village

Firefly Village is a typical mountain village located in Eomso-ri, Seorak-myeon, south of Gapyeong-gun, boasting pristine natural scenery. Eomso-ri, where Firefly Village is situated, was named 'Eomso-ri' because it is a neighborhood with many so (pools) that are frightening even during the day when crossing many stone bridges laid sideways, seeing large rocks and deep blue water. The name carries the meaning of always living with a solemn heart, warmly and honestly. In the center of the village, a clear, clean, and wide stream flows, and on both sides, it is surrounded by pine forests, allowing visitors to breathe air rich in phytoncides. Additionally, with fertile soil and abundant agricultural water, the village produces excellent agricultural products. Most residents engage in agriculture rather than commerce, preserving the warm-heartedness of our mountain village.
