Meritorious War Service Medal Recipients Monument

This monument was erected in 2010, the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, by Seongdong-gu and the Seongdong-gu Branch of the Meritorious War Service Medal Recipients Association to honor the achievements and noble patriotic spirit of those who received meritorious war service medals for defending the country during the Korean War and fighting courageously for world peace in the Vietnam War. The monument consists of three towers on a circular platform: the first tower (monument inscription), the second tower (list of 279 meritorious war service medal recipients), and the third tower (purpose statement, supporting organizations, etc.). Its dimensions are 6.8m in width, 6.8m in depth, and 5m in height.
