COEX East Plaza

This refers to the long plaza along the sidewalk starting from Samseong Station Trade Tower (Korea World Trade Center), passing through COEX Convention Center, and extending to ASEM Tower. The east plaza is also called COEX Urban Park, where various events such as K-pop concerts and outdoor film festivals are held frequently throughout the year. This COEX area is the filming location of K-Pop 'Gangnam Style', which sparked the horse dance craze worldwide and made Gangnam known globally. As a Gangnam Style landmark, a 5m high, 8m wide bronze 'Horse Dance' sculpture highlighting the global mindset of 'The World is One' is installed here, drawing attention as a world-class tourist attraction.
