Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Behind Yubyeonnan Village, there is a low hilly mountain with an elevation of 227.8m, which is closely related to the lives of the residents of Naegok Village. The tradition of playing Mangwol-nori (moon-viewing game) on Mangwol Mountain and the legend of Jangsubawi (Longevity Rock) have been passed down, and there is also an old temple site with an unknown founding year. Additionally, there are three gold mines that were used as stone caves and earthen caves, as well as three mineral springs, which are also used as walking trails by the villagers. A pair of juniper trees over 300 years old are located in the center of the village, and beneath the trees lies the Daedong well. According to the stories passed down, those who drink water from this well are said to give birth to sons and enjoy a long life without illness.
