Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Sanghui Park is a neighborhood park located in Yatap 3-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. It features a central plaza, a children's playground, walking trails, and exercise facilities. The park was established in 1995 to commemorate the spirit of sacrifice of Captain Lee Sang-hui, an Air Force pilot who crashed while avoiding civilian areas during flight training in Gwangju in 1992. Captain Lee Sang-hui was a native of this area. The park is surrounded by apartments, houses, villas, and officetels, making it heavily used by residents. Additionally, the Seongnam Senior Industry Innovation Center, YWCA Eunhak House, and Seongnam Customs are nearby, attracting many office workers. Bicycles can be parked, and the park has entrances on all sides centered around the central plaza, allowing for convenient use. ※ Pets allowed (only if wearing a leash and equipped with plastic bags for waste disposal).
