Daeseong-ri National Tourist Site

Centered around Gyeongchun Line Daeseong-ri Station, the Daeseong-ri National Tourist Site spans about 80,000 pyeong along the Bukhangang River. It features walking paths, picnic areas, camping grounds, and forest trails, along with various convenience facilities. The riverside scenery unfolding along the long walking path under the dense forest shade adds to the atmosphere. During the spring cherry blossom season, pink flower petals fall like rain. Although it was once a hidden cherry blossom spot along the Bukhangang River bicycle path, it is now known as a cherry blossom destination in Gapyeong. Being close to Seoul, it is also great for a day trip.

Deck platforms are installed along the walking path, allowing visitors to rest in the tree shade and enjoy leisurely time with a riverside view. As it is colder than Seoul, cherry blossoms can be seen a bit later, and the combination of green grass and white cherry blossoms boasts a magnificent scenery not found in the city. It is a spring outing spot so beautiful that it cannot be captured in photos.
