Reverse Icicles

Reverse icicles grow upward from the bottom, attracting academic interest. They are located in an abandoned tunnel of the Gyeongwon Line railway, where hundreds of reverse icicles of various sizes rise from the tunnel floor. They begin to form in mid-December and can be seen until February of the following year. The tunnel, with icicles growing both upward and downward, resembles a shark with its mouth open. Reverse icicles have drawn significant academic attention because they grow from the bottom upward.
