Yeoncheon Gorangpo-gu History Park

This is a ferry port that served as a strategic point since the Three Kingdoms period and was a center for material exchange via the Imjin River. In the 1930s, it flourished to the extent that a branch of Hwashin Department Store was established due to the exchange of goods between Gaeseong and Hanseong, but it declined due to the Korean War and the division of the two Koreas. It is also famous as an infiltration route during the January 21 Armed Communist Infiltration Incident. Yeoncheon Gorangpo-gu History Park vividly embodies and reproduces the history and geographical characteristics inscribed in Gorangpo-gu. It offers realistic historical and security experiences through virtual and augmented reality, and consists of a children's play area, multipurpose space, and seminar rooms.
