Supulo Yangsuri

Located at Dumulmeori in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, Supulo Yangsuri is an ecological park covering approximately 67,000 square meters. This area is within a legally designated waterfront zone established by the Ministry of Environment to protect the Han River, the drinking water source for about 25 million citizens in the Seoul metropolitan area, serving as a buffer to prevent pollutants from directly entering the river. Supulo Yangsuri was transformed into an ecological park after halting apartment construction plans, preventing the generation of about 1,600 tons of domestic sewage per day and becoming a symbolic land for environmental conservation. Restored into a park with trees, flowers, and drainage channels, it features stone paths, a wooden bridge leading to the forest, and an ecological pond, allowing close contact with nature and attracting both local residents and tourists. With various spaces such as a grass square, an observatory overlooking aquatic plants and the Bukhangang River landscape, walking trails, and a central park hosting various events, it is an ecological destination where one can leisurely enjoy the charm of the Bukhangang River.
