Why travelers stop here
Ansan Lake Park is a neighborhood park with an area of approximately 660,000㎡ located in Gojan New Town, Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was created by preserving the Gojan Reservoir that existed before the construction of Gojan New Town and decorating the surrounding area with various sports facilities, performance halls, plazas, reed wetlands, and walking trails. The Ansancheon and Hwajeongcheon streams flow around the park, and at the confluence of the two streams, various types of fish and migratory birds can be observed. A 3.6km-long bicycle path has been built around the park, allowing visitors to cycle or run. Designed with ecological considerations, the park is divided into two parks, Sadong 3 Park and Sadong 4 Park, separated by an 8-lane road, and the two parks are connected by a pedestrian overpass. The walking trails and perimeter paths are linked, making it ideal for walking, and the Mugunghwa Garden, which hosts the annual Mugunghwa Festival, is also famous. Various sculptures are installed among the indoor swimming pool, basketball court, foot volleyball court, and soccer field, making it a resting place for families and couples.
