Why travelers stop here
Dasangil is a walking trail where you can feel the spirit of Jeong Yak-yong, who was born in Namyangju and spent his later years there. Before returning to his hometown of Namyangju from Gangjin and reaching the age of 60, Jeong Yak-yong used the pen name 'Yeolsu (洌水)'. Yeolsu refers to the Han River during the Joseon Dynasty, and you can feel Jeong Yak-yong's love for the scenery embracing the Han River. Although the overall course is similar to Gyeonggi Old Road (Pyeonghae-gil), you can trace the footsteps of Master Jeong Yak-yong through the beautiful path that passes through Majae Village and leads to Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site and Dasan Ecological Park. Dasangil consists of a total of 2 courses. Course 1 is Hangang Naru-gil, which starts at Samphae District of Namyangju Hangang Park and passes through Paldang Station and Neungnae Station to arrive at Ungilsan Station. The total length is 16.7 km.
