It is home to native crucian carp, true crucian carp, carp, leather carp, and catfish, and fish are periodically released, making it famous for offering thrilling catches. The surrounding landscape is so beautiful that fireflies can be seen on summer nights, and in winter, many people visit to enjoy the smelt festival. The smelt festival has relatively low admission fees and features a food market offering smelt fries, smelt sashimi, fish cake, and gimbap, making it a great place for a special winter experience with family.
