Why travelers stop here
Yeoncheon Peace Nuri-gil connects existing fields, paths, riverbanks, and trails along the Demilitarized Zone. Yeoncheon County consists of three routes, extending from Jangnamgyo Bridge to Yeokgodeureum. The average distance per course is about 20 km, and an adult of average fitness can complete one course on foot in about 4 to 5 hours. A secluded forest trail stretches for over 5 km, offering a unique experience. The section passing through Lohas Park and Daegwanggyo Bridge to Sintan-ri Station (the former terminus of the Gyeongwon Line) follows the Chatancheon stream embankment path, providing a different walking experience. Lohas Park features a wetland garden where visitors can enjoy beautiful lotus flowers in full bloom across the pond. Near Sintan-ri Station, the endpoint of the third course, you can enjoy popular local dishes such as deodeok duck and sanchae barley rice.
