Why travelers stop here
Milal Museum of Art began in 1999 when the representative collected works with special care, starting in the space of Milal School, a school for developmental disabilities, and is now located at Milal Art Center. The exhibitions and collections here have three characteristics. First, they collect and restore North Korean paintings, connecting lost time in Korean art history through the works. Second, they exchange with outstanding overseas artists every year, ranging from China, Russia, and Eastern Europe, and exhibit their works. Third, they discover talented new artists and artists with disabilities and support them to hold exhibitions. Milal Museum of Art is a space for art lovers, a complex cultural space where people with and without disabilities meet each other through works and create beauty, sharing with many people.
