Why travelers stop here
Kkotgeui is a seasoned raw crab specialty restaurant located in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, where the crabs are aged in a soy sauce brewed with wild ginseng. The name 'Kkotgeui' is a combination of 'Kkot' (a Gangwon-do dialect for 'flower') and 'Geui' (a Chungcheong-do dialect for 'crab'), meaning 'flower crab.' Kkotgeui uses domestic blue crabs and carefully selected ingredients to pursue premium soy sauce-marinated crabs made with the artisan's dedication. It is said that the rice used at Kkotgeui is grown in the reclaimed land of the West Sea in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province.
