Why travelers stop here
The National Intangible Heritage Transmission Education Center was established in 1997 by the Korea Heritage Service to transmit national intangible heritage, and is managed and operated by the National Intangible Heritage Transmission Education Center. It is a space where holders and groups of national intangible heritage skills and performing arts carry out transmission activities, providing a venue for the public to experience and enjoy Korea's beautiful traditional culture through various traditional performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. The National Intangible Heritage Transmission Education Center is a building built by the state for the preservation and transmission of traditional culture, housing state-designated national intangible heritage holders to support transmission education and general public classes. Eight performing arts groups are housed here, conducting year-round transmission education and public classes to pass on their arts to future generations, and participating in regular performance presentations and domestic and international invited performances. Twelve craft workshops are housed here, where national intangible heritage craft holders open the production process and completed works to the public and provide transmission education in craft skills. Major facilities include the folk theater 'Pungnyu', exhibition halls 'Gyeol' and 'Ol', and seminar rooms, performing arts practice rooms, and craft education practical rooms to support national intangible heritage holders and transmission craftspeople.
