The Story of King Sejong and the Story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin

The Story of King Sejong and the Story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin is a space where you can experience vivid history in the heart of the city. It is an exhibition hall established to honor the life and achievements of King Sejong the Great, the 4th king of the Joseon Dynasty, and Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who made great contributions during the Imjin War, and is operated by the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. The Story of King Sejong exhibition hall opened on October 9, 2009, to commemorate Hangeul Day, and the Story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin exhibition hall opened on April 28, 2010, to commemorate the birthday of Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The Story of King Sejong exhibition hall consists of 12 exhibition spaces, including Human, Sejong, Minbon Ideology, Creation of Hangeul, Science and Art, Military Policy, and Hangeul Gallery. The Story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin exhibition hall consists of 6 exhibition spaces: The Life of the Holy Hero Yi Sun-sin, Joseon Warships, The Seven-Year Naval War, Human Yi Sun-sin Through the Nanjung Ilgi, Yi Sun-sin's Leadership, and the Video Experience Hall. It operates various experience and education programs, providing a space for vivid historical experiences, and has established itself as a Seoul tourist attraction visited by approximately 1.5 million visitors annually.
