Park Yeonsoo Gallery, founded by Park Yeonsoo, has established itself as a gallery that nurtures young and talented Korean artists while introducing international masters to Korea. In her late 20s at the time of founding, Park Yeonsoo broke away from exhibitions focused on already renowned works and dedicated herself to discovering capable artists. Particularly in the 1980s, when the Korean art market was a barren ground for contemporary art, she worked to popularize art collections and supported Korean monochrome painters, introducing them abroad. Since the 1993 LA Art Fair, she has consistently participated in world-renowned art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Basel Hong Kong, and Art Cologne, putting great effort into introducing Korean artists to the international stage.
