Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Opened in September 2019, the Seoul Museum of Everyday Life is a modern and contemporary museum that showcases the daily lives of Seoul citizens from the post-liberation period to the present. In 2010, the northern legal complex, which housed the Seoul Northern District Court and the Seoul Northern District Prosecutor's Office, was relocated, leaving the site vacant. The court and prosecutor's office buildings were transformed into cultural facilities for Seoul citizens. The Seoul Museum of Everyday Life, imbued with people's memories and emotions, aims to become a center of cultural space in the northeastern region, fostering communication and connection by offering citizens exhibitions and educational programs on various themes.
