Why travelers stop here
The Turkish Istanbul Cultural Center was established in Gangnam in 1998 by a Turkish individual. With the aim of promoting mutual understanding between Korea and Turkey, it provides access to books, video materials, and other documents related to Turkey, and displays publications that share news from Turkey. Additionally, it conducts academic exchange projects such as fellowships to promote cultural exchange, operates Turkish language courses, and runs various programs to foster the tourism industry between Korea and Turkey. To make Turkish culture more accessible, it offers one-day classes that allow participants to easily understand and engage with Turkish culture through making various Turkish foods or crafts. The Turkish Istanbul Cultural Center is located approximately 290 meters from Exit 2 of Seocho Station on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway.
