Why travelers stop here
Opened in 1983 as Seryu Lacquer Chicken at the entrance of Singok-dong, and relocated to the current location in 2002 after new construction. Geographically, it is conveniently located about 300 meters from Seryu Station on Subway Line 1. The lacquer chicken is served in an earthenware pot per person, with a single menu item to enhance specialization. The outer bark of wild lacquer trees from Wonju, Gangwon Province, is dried and brewed for a long time, then boiled with chicken to create a soft and savory flavor. Lacquer chicken aids blood circulation and is also highly effective for gastrointestinal health.
