Yeonpo Galbi is a beef rib specialty restaurant located near Hwahongmun Gate of Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition to raw sirloin and raw ribs, it offers popular lunch-only menu items such as galbi set meal and galbi-tang. In 1999, the owner personally carried bricks and wielded a shovel to transform Yeonpojang, which had operated as a bathhouse and inn for 20 years, into Yeonpo Galbi. During a time when proper bathing facilities were scarce, the space where local residents gathered to relieve the day's fatigue and share conversations has now become a place to enjoy delicious ribs with loved ones.
