Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Gyeongun Museum was established in 2003 by alumni of Gyeonggi Girls' High School. Before its opening, starting with 'Modern Costumes and Our Culture,' it has held 40 special exhibitions to promote the beauty and academic and historical value of modern royal costumes, modern and contemporary costumes, and textile collections. In addition to special exhibitions and publication of catalogs, high-quality academy lectures, experiential learning programs linked to exhibitions, and reproduction works of the Korean Empire Emperor's Twelve-Symbol Robe, Jeokui, Hwangryongpo, and Heukdanryeong are the results of talent donations by alumni volunteers. Thus, Gyeonggi Girls' High School Gyeongun Museum is a beautiful cultural space where history and tradition breathe, and intergenerational dialogue and communication take place.
