Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
A specialty restaurant for dwaejibulbaek (stir-fried spicy pork) located in Jinjeop-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. Since being introduced as a pork restaurant on a TV program, more people have come to visit. The restaurant, which was remodeled from a residential house, has crushed stone laid in the yard with plastic tables and chairs, giving the feeling of being at a pojangmacha (street tent bar). Inside, each room has low tables, creating the illusion of being in a countryside home. The menu consists solely of dwaejibulbaek, which is grilled with bean sprouts and chives along with seasoning. Side dishes include radish salad, pickled onions, lettuce, garlic, peppers, and cold seaweed soup. It offers good value for money and is popular as a meal with rice or as an accompaniment to alcohol. Near the restaurant, there is Bamsom Yuwonji (Bamsom Recreation Area).
