Why travelers stop here
Located on a scenic drive course that crosses Bukhansan, Songchu, Jangheung, and Eunpyeong-gu, Bukhansan Charcoal Grilled Pork is famous for its iron plate charcoal grilled pork. The pork neck is marinated in a soy sauce-based seasoning for 48 hours and grilled over an open flame. It pairs well with the basic side dishes of a rich stew-style kimchi jjim and crunchy stir-fried bean sprouts. The meat uses premium American pork neck, and due to high ingredient turnover, always provides fresh meat. The deodeok gui is hand-pounded with a rolling pin and grilled crispy with the restaurant's own spicy seasoning, preserving texture and aroma. The udon carries on the reputation of Bukhansan Udon House, offering a harmony of deep-flavored broth and chewy noodles. Two types are sold: charcoal grilled pork udon and chili pepper fish cake udon. The mulnaengmyeon broth is made by boiling beef brisket, slowly cooling it, and carefully straining it, providing a clean finish. There are also bibimnaengmyeon made with a special sauce that has an exquisite balance of spiciness, sweetness, and saltiness, as well as kodari hoe, hongeo hoe, and deodeok naengmyeon.
