Galma Park

Galma Park, an urban neighborhood park located in the western part of Dunsan New Town, is built on an area of 91,938㎡. The park is beautiful with wildflowers such as retusa fringe tree flowers and tulips in spring, lush green foliage in summer, and autumn leaves in fall, and is sized for a pleasant walk along the trails. In addition to walking paths, the park houses the Olympic Memorial National Sports Center, a sports facility. This center is equipped with multi-purpose complex facilities for sports, culture, and arts, and operates various programs including swimming, fitness, children's taekwondo classes, and painting classes. Additionally, within the park, there are the Hyoja Geochang Shin Clan Jeongnyeo, Pyeongannu, Galmajeong, and the Monument to the Establishment of the 2nd Regiment of the ROK Armed Forces. Various outdoor sports facilities such as futsal courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, and gateball courts are also located here. Galma Park is very close to Galma Station on Daejeon Metro Line 1. Nearby attractions include Wolpyeong Library, Government Complex Daejeon Nature Garden, and Saemmeori Park.
