Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Busan Gamcheon Port is a representative port that, along with Bukhang, Namhang, Dadaepo, and Sinhang, constitutes Busan Port. It is divided into the East, West, and Central piers. Gamcheon-dong Pier began construction in December 1984 and opened as a public pier in 1991. Busan has a geographical advantage of being located between the North Pacific and South Pacific fishing grounds, leading to a concentration of seafood distribution and processing companies and cold storage warehouses. In April 2018, additional convenience facilities were built, consisting of a first-floor parking lot, second-floor restrooms and shower rooms, and a third-floor lounge. The Busan International Seafood Wholesale Market is located nearby, and the Gamcheon Port East Breakwater, situated below Gamcheon-dong Pier, is considered a natural fishing spot available year-round. With favorable water depth and currents and a variety of fish, it has become a popular destination for anglers.
