Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival

The Gangdong Seonsa Culture Festival is the largest district brand festival organized by Gangdong-gu, celebrating its 28th edition in 2023. Held at the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Site, the largest collective settlement along the Han River basin where traces of Neolithic people's lives remain intact from 6,000 years ago, it offers a variety of sights and foods to satisfy visitors' five senses. <br> Main stage performances include popular singer concerts and the Gangdong Seonsa Singing Contest where residents can showcase their talents, while various other performances take place on the forest stage and plaza stage. Diverse programs are prepared for all ages, including unique experiences such as primitive barbecue experiences and Neolithic archaeology experience schools that allow visitors to experience the lives of prehistoric people. A food market operates during the three-day festival, allowing visitors to enjoy various foods along with the festival's programs, and a spectacular fireworks show is planned for the final day of the festival.
