Gangbuk Cultural Center

Gangbuk Cultural Center provides diverse cultural information about the history and culture of the Gangbuk-gu area. Notably, the Sogwigol Concert aims to commemorate the spirits of the victims of the April 19 Democratic Revolution, while awakening national identity among local residents and fostering a healthy civic culture. The center annually holds events that reflect on Korea's history and traditions, such as the March 1 Independence Movement reenactment, the Samgaksan Festival, and the Chuseok Hanmadang. It also operates programs including cultural tours, children's etiquette education, and local cultural tours (Learning the History and Culture of Our Hometown). Additionally, it offers various cultural classes such as the Four Gracious Plants (plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo), folk songs, folk painting, Western painting, Korean dance, dance sports, and vocal music classes, striving to enhance residents' leisure activities and expand the base of culture and arts enthusiasts. Gangbuk Cultural Center can be visited by taking a bus from Suyu Station on Subway Line 4 to Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center, or by walking for about 3 minutes from Exit 2 of Uisinseol Gaori Station towards the National Rehabilitation Center.
