Gangwon Korean Ginseng Festival

The 3rd Gangwon Korean Ginseng Festival will be held at the Ginseng Future GNF International Cultural Exchange Square, Ucheon-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, from Saturday, May 4, 2024 to Sunday, May 5, 2024. Hosted by Ginseng Future GNF and organized by the Netherlands Cultural Exchange Project Group, this event will feature various food and experience booths utilizing ginseng, such as ginseng rice balls, seasoned ginseng, ginseng tteokgalbi, ginseng tempura, as well as activities like ginseng fishing, making ginseng liquor, making honey-preserved ginseng, growing ginseng, and face painting.

On Saturday, May 4, the 'Gratitude, Peace, Hope' 2nd Children's Drawing Contest commemorating the 63rd anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Netherlands and an International Cultural Exchange Concert will be held, along with an academic seminar titled 'The Past, Present, and Future of Korean Agriculture' in celebration of the 110th anniversary of Baekseo Farm. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various attractions including the Moonlight Garden in full bloom with tulips and rapeseed flowers, a nighttime lighting ceremony, ginseng and red ginseng product sales booths, Cheonsamhyangju exhibition, a gallery, and movie screenings.
