Gangwondojip

Gangwondojip, located in Gachang-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, is a restaurant famous for its grilled beef on a wire mesh. The main menu items are three types of bulgogi: duck bulgogi, pork bulgogi, and chicken bulgogi. The bulgogi is first seared over charcoal at 600 degrees Celsius immediately after ordering, then gently grilled on a plate heated by a candle at the table. The seasoning can be adjusted for spiciness, making it suitable for children, and the smoky flavor from the wire mesh along with the tender texture of the meat satisfies all five senses. Various vegetables, including water parsley, are provided for wrapping, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. After the meat is served, the ongsimi sujebi (hand-torn dough soup with potato dumplings) is prepared, featuring chewy potato dumplings in a hot broth that provides a feeling of fullness.
