Gangwon Comprehensive Museum

Gangwon General Museum was established and operated by Daejin Educational Foundation in December 2004, applying ancient architectural styles from both East and West. It displays over 20,000 artifacts collected from around the world, including natural history specimens, ceramics, metal crafts, folk items, religious artifacts, wood crafts, and stone crafts. The museum collects, preserves, researches, exchanges, and exhibits artifacts to help understand the environment in which humanity lives. It plans exhibitions that allow indirect experiences of life in various eras, continuously supplements exhibits, and positions itself as a lifelong education institution communicating with the local community. The viewing course proceeds in the order of the Natural History Exhibition Hall, Ceramics Exhibition Hall, Metal Crafts Exhibition Hall, Cave, Stalactite Exhibition Hall, World Religion and Folk & Wood Crafts Exhibition Hall, and outdoor stalactites and waterfalls.
