Why travelers stop here
With a 40-year tradition, Gangwon Charcoal produces and sells high-quality, clean charcoal and wood vinegar made from the clear smoke of charcoal kilns. Additionally, it offers a unique experience where visitors can enjoy a jjimjil (sauna) using the residual heat left in the kilns after charcoal production, making it a popular distinctive attraction. The charcoal kilns are made of yellow soil from floor to ceiling, and the far-infrared rays emitted from them are beneficial for blood stagnation and postpartum care. The samgyeopsal (pork belly) quickly grilled by the intense heat of the kiln is also extremely popular.<br>Address: 327 Jeongpo-ro, Gapcheon-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province
