Gangjeongcheon Stream

Gangjeongcheon Stream is a spring-fed stream with a total length of 16km, located east of Gangjeong Village, the southernmost village in Seogwipo City. Its name comes from the characters for 'river' (江) and 'waterfront' (汀), reflecting its abundant water. The stream flows year-round with natural bedrock water from Hallasan Mountain and is home to sweetfish, a first-grade freshwater fish species. It is also a habitat where mandarin ducks, a natural monument, are often seen in flocks.

The area near Gangjeonggyo Bridge is shallow, making it ideal for families with children to enjoy water play. Nearby attractions include Yakcheonsa Temple, the largest temple in Jeju, Seogeondo Island (accessible only at low tide), and Beomseom Island, which is a 5-minute walk from Olle Trail Course 7.
