Opened in 2001, PKM Gallery has consistently operated exhibition programs of prominent domestic and international artists that sharply capture the flow of contemporary art. In 2004, it became the first Korean gallery to be invited to the Frieze Art Fair, playing a major role in advancing Korean contemporary art to the center of the global art market. Since then, by steadily participating in prestigious international art fairs such as Art Basel, FIAC, The Armory Show, and Expo Chicago, it has introduced high-quality works by domestic and international artists spanning modern and contemporary periods to global collectors and art professionals, contributing to the establishment of Korean art on the international stage. The PKM main building has a total of 2 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground, featuring exhibition halls with a maximum ceiling height of 5.5m. The PKM+ annex, additionally established in 2018, has 1 floor above ground and 1 floor below ground, characterized by a boutique space. With a total floor area of 893 square meters and a net exhibition area of 397 square meters, PKM Gallery has been reborn as a large-scale gallery and plans to continue leading new paradigms in the contemporary art scene through broad and experimental activities.
