Why travelers stop here
A granite rock about 15 meters high observed within the Hantan River Gorge. There is a pavilion called Goseokjeong nearby, so this area is called Goseokjeong. Goseokjeong was formed when granite, the bedrock formed about 110 million years ago, was covered by basalt lava flows and then exposed again due to the erosion of the Hantan River.

<Source: National Geopark>
