Godae-do Island

Godae-do Island is located between Wonsan-do Island in Boryeong-si and Anmyeon-do Island in Taean-gun, and belongs to the Taean Coast National Park. It is a small island with an area of 0.92㎢, where a village formed early on due to settlement. Despite its size, it developed an early high standard of living thanks to abundant fishery resources and fishing grounds. As part of a national park, it boasts clean waters, and shellfish and oysters can be easily collected anywhere.

Beyond Dangsan Hill near the village lies Dangsan Beach, surrounded by奇特 rocks and golden sand with red pine trees. At the southern tip of the island, there is a pebble beach, making it a popular summer resort.
