Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Uiseong is a place where the history of Somunguk and Jomunguk, tribal states from the Samhan period, remains. In addition, it is an ideal destination for a historical trip, featuring the Jaeori Dinosaur Footprint Fossil Site, the National Treasure Tapri Five-Story Stone Pagoda that imitates the technique of brick pagodas from the Silla period, the Sachon Garosup (a row of trees) designated as a Natural Monument, and Sanun Village, a representative noble village from the Joseon Dynasty. The Five-Story Stone Pagoda at Bingsansa Temple in the Binggye Valley, which has wind caves and ice caves, is also an unmissable cultural heritage site.
