Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Gyogasi Market was originally located in Hamaengbang, but after being moved here from Bukpyeong Pyeongneung Station in 1760 (the 36th year of King Yeongjo's reign), the market also moved to Gyogari, where it remains today. Currently, the market's function is declining due to the permanent market, and on folk market days, only about 10 peddlers maintain its existence.
